Art For Good Men’s Tee
A regular-fit men’s tee with a screen-printed Art For Good logo on the front, to commemorate the world record attempt held this year.
On 1st September 2019, the Art For Good attempt is being held. An art installation by artist, Anthony Garratt with Newlyn School of Art, its purpose is to aid the creation of a National Trust footpath between Land’s End and Sennen in Cornwall.
Members of the public from all age groups and backgrounds are invited to join in a ‘mass painting event’ in an attempt to set a World Record for the most painters simultaneously creating individual landscape paintings in the same outdoor location. The intention being that the participants form a continuous line of painters from Lands End to Sennen. Participants are to stand an equal distance apart and the reverse of their painting panels painted pink so that from an aerial perspective, they form a continuous dotted line when held above the participants heads; the denotation of a footpath on an OS Map.
The event not only encourages the idea that painting outdoors is an excellent way of connecting with the environment and creates a visually spectacular art installation, but also helps raise funds for the National Trust to complete a designated footpath between the two locations.
